Abstract

Since 2007 the operated patients with major and huge median postoperative hernias have been monitored for intra-abdominal pressure. The total of 64 patients has been examined. It is ascertained that at 7 (10,9 %) patients the abdominal compartment syndrome has been educed. Researches have shown that the abdominal compartment syndrome has emerged in patients with intra-abdominal hypertension within 20–25 mm Hg throughout 48 hours after operation. Two patients with critical indicators of intra-abdominal pressure has been operated the second time after the hernioplasty carried out by local tissues. After decompression relaparotomy, the practitioners have undertaken an autoplasty (Welti-Ramirez operation) + autodermoplasty. After that there has been stated convalescence.
